Fight in Edo was against godfatherism, that of Ondo will be a “vote against failed promises by APC - Wike

To gain freedom, sacrifices will be made. Intimidation will come but the people should be firm to defend their votes.

Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike, has addressed the forthcoming election in Ondo state , while he was on an interview with AIT newsmen , according to the governor , the theme for Edo and Ondo state are don’t have any similarities, because the fight in Edo state during the jist concluded election was against “godfatherism”, and that of Ondo is a “vote against failed promises by the All Progressive Congress”.

On the Edo state governorship election, he said ;
The deployment of over 300 policemen with armored personnel carriers to my hotel in Benin City was to provoke a shootout with his security aides. The inspector  General of police, Mohammed Adamu knew the nature of the assignment he was to discharged.

As Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Council they wanted that provocation to cause a shootout so they can target me and blame it on the crisis. The inspector general’s action was premeditated because of our resolve to legally challenge the deduction from our revenue for the Police Trust Fund.

He was also angry 😤 bed my intention in the attempted abduction of the former chairman of the interim management committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joi Nunieh by some police officers at her residence by 4am.

On the Ondo state governorship election, while the fight in Edo was against godfatherism, that of Ondo, will be a vote against failed promises by the APC. To gain freedom, sacrifices will be made. Intimidation will come but the people should be firm to defend their votes.
