Governor Obaseki says he met with Buhari’s Chief of Staff before resigning, not President Buhari (Edo gov’ship 2020)
Edo state governor , Godwin Obaseki, who resigned his membership from the ruling All Progressive Congress , has officially announced his resignation via Twitter.
Contrary to reports that he met with President Muhammadu Buhari before he resigned , the governor has cleared the air that he actually didn’t see Buhari, he actually met with Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Agboola Gambari.

Obaseki states that he shall continue to battle to protect the interest of Edo people and sustain good governance in the state .
Meanwhile, the People’s Democratic Party’s Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan has commended Obaseki’s move to abandon the fizzling Congress (APC). So obviously, in no time , the governor might officially announced his next move too.
