Edo gov’ship 2020;Federal High Court restrains Governor Obaseki from participating in PDP primaries


Justice E.A Obile of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, has restrained Edo State Governor, Goodwin Obaseki from participating in the People’s Democratic Party Gubernatorial Primary election , slated for June 25, 2020.




The suit was instituted by another PDP aspirant, Engr Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama asking the court to stop the governor who just recently decamped to the PDP.
Governor Godwin Obaseki was disqualified by the APC National Working Committee, and the governor joined the People’s Democratic Party to pursue his re-election.

The court Adjourned the motion on notice to June 24, 2020, which a day before the party’s primary election .

Joined in the suit are ; Emmanuel Ogidi; Prince Uche Secondus; Chief Derekeme Boyleyefa; Hon. Kingsley Chinda  others are Senator James Manager , and Hon. Barrister Ajibola Muraina , as well as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)
